Barbara Rushing Sapp

Mrs. Barbara Rushing Sapp, , of Winston-Salem passed away December 3, 2009 at her home . Mrs. Sapp was born in Anson, NC on January 16, 1927 to William Dudley and Rannie Baucome Rushing. She was a member of New Friendship Baptist Church and retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company after 35 years of service. Mrs. Sapp was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Ernest Sapp ,two sisters Martha McKinney, and Mary Louise Leonard . She is survived by two sisters, Mamie Townsend, and Lillie Gunter, all of Winston-Salem; a step son, Bob Sapp of Winston-Salem; and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 am, Monday, December 7, 2009 at New Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Chris Byrne officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New Friendship Baptist Church, 4258 Old Lexington Rd. Winston Salem ,N.C. 27107The family would like to thank Jackie, Karla, Marie, and Suzanne for all their loving car. A special thank you to all the staff at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice for all their loving care.
