Barbara Melton

Mrs. Barbara Ella Mason Melton, 81, passed away Sunday October 31, 2021.  She was born January 18, 1940, in Roanoke County, VA to the late Price Anderson Mason and Rosa Ardella Mason.  Barbara attended Open Door Baptist Church.  She loved to shop especially for clothes and jewelry.  Barbara also enjoyed collecting angels and other types of dolls.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Albert Cecil Melton, and two brothers, Cecil Richard and Johnny Price Mason.  Barbara is survived by three sons: Cecil Graham Melton (Darlene), Greg Melton (Melissa), and Allen Melton; six grandchildren: Ryan, Madison, Hannah, Kathlyn, Bridget, and Jessica; and her significant other, Tommy Noah.  A funeral service will be conducted 12:00 Noon Friday, November 5th at Open Door Baptist Church with Pastor Don Hackett officiating.  Burial will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 12:00 Noon at the church.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be to Open Door Baptist Church, 3130 Burke Mill Rd, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.  Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com.
