Barbara Jean Wicker McKoin

Mrs. Barbara Jean Wicker McKoin, 69, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, August 26, 2011 while surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Durham Co. the daughter of the late Clarence B. Wicker. In addition to her father she was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Alejo. Barbara is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Carl Lee McKoin Sr., her children, Sherry McKoin, Annette Overby, Carl L. McKoin Jr. and Allen McKoin, 10 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, two sisters, Frances Marie Trometer and Lillian Wicker Clark, a brother, Ralph Clarence Wicker and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 29, 2011 at Parklawn Memory Gardens with Rev. Don Hackett officiating. The family will receive friends from 7-9 this evening Sunday, August 28, 2011 at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall.
