Barbara Jean Noah Loy

Kernersville – Barbara Jean Noah Loy, 79, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at Kernersville Medical Center. She was born on October 1, 1945, in Guilford County to the late Luther Hill and Vera Childress Noah. Barbara was a hard-working person, who would put all her time and effort into taking care of others and loved to cook. In her leisure time, she would enjoy the television show, “Emergency” from the 70’s. Barbara was a wonderful mother, sister, and friend who was loved and will dearly be missed by many.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 27 years, Gaither Alexander Loy; and a sister, Mary Jane Noah Blackburn.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Gary Edwin Loy; a brother, Eddie Noah; a niece, Tana Chambers; and a nephew, Joel Edwin Noah.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Friday, March 7, 2025, at Christ Church (Anglican) Winston-Salem with Father Kelly O’Sullivan and Father Benjy Davis officiating. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory – Walkertown. A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2025, from 5:00 - 7:00pm at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel.
