Barbara Jeanne Cain Jackson, March 26, 1931 - August 21, 2023.
Our loving mom's sparkling blue eyes are now twinkling starlight’s, brightly shining her eternal love on her children, Sandra (Larry), Melinda, Andy (Evette), Lloyd (Robert), Jimmy (Cheryl); grandchildren Marshall (Melissa), Sarah (Richard), Cameron, Ben; great-grandchildren Davis, Carys, Conner, Emma Kate, Richie; special grand-dog Addie, and on all who loved our mama.
Our mom was mischievous, fun and full of spunk. As kids in the backseat squirming and poking each other on trips to White Lake, Mom would stop the car, look at us and simply say, "hey! we WILL have Fun!" with a big smile.
Mom went away on bridge-playing weekends with her girlfriends which created incredible sister-like, lifelong friendships. These ladies also were Mom's family.
The absolute love of Mom's life was Jim Jackson who passed in 2019. Mom and Jim enjoyed 40 years laughing, loving, caring, gardening, socializing, traveling, learning, boating, pier-sitting, walking by the sea, dancing, smiling, and partnering through life together.
On Wednesday, Mom had her hair done, looked beautiful in her blue shirt, played bridge for 4 hours, laughed and smiled. God decided the next morning to begin Mom's 4-day journey to heaven. We know for sure Mom is now covered in the best and purest love of all.
Mom and Jim lived in Bermuda Village for 23 years. The caregivers for our mom in these last few years especially, gave their hearts to our mom and they loved her as their own. This team of ladies and men caring for elders at Bermuda Village are the best. Our mom loved each of you, especially those who helped her in the Greystone building of Bermuda Village. Many thanks and gratitude for your loving hearts towards our mama. You also were Mom's family.
Please go outside and do a dance of love for our mother's fun-filled life. She and Jim lived long and wide, sharing smiles and love, every dance step of the way.
Our mom's favorite Bible verse was: Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build, a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance, a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing, a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away, a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak, a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace.
Our family will hold a private service for Mom.
