Barbara Long Gallimore

Belews Creek - Mrs. Barbara Long Gallimore, 63, passed away Saturday, October 23, 2010 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice and Palliative Care Center. She was born in Montgomery Co. VA, January 6, 1947 to the late William and Virginia Walters Long. Barbara was a loving woman, who deeply loved her children, grandbabies, and her dogs. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Junior Gallimore. Surviving are; a daughter, Elizabeth ""Buffy"" Sumner, a son, Darrell ""Tater"" Gallimore, thre grandbabies, Tyler Gallimore, Amanda Gallimore, and Raina Sumner all of Belews Creek, three sisters, Lena Smith, Shirley Mcdaniel, and Charlotte Linkous all of VA. A funeral service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 25, 2010 by Dr. Bobby Roberson and Rev. Frank Shumate at Gospel Light Baptist Church in Walkertown. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory in Walkertown. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
