Barbara Jean Flinchum

Mrs. Barbara Jean Fischer Flinchum of Clemmons died Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem, NC after a battle with cancer. Mrs. Flinchum was born October 5, 1928 in Mobile, AL to Robert and Mary Fischer. She was a homemaker and a member of First Presbyterian Church in Winston-Salem. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Bill Flinchum, her sisters, Sue Locklin Fischer and Evelyn Henning and her brother, Gordon Fischer. She is survived by her daughter, Leigh Jones and son-in-law, John of Lawrenceville, GA; two sons, Eric Flinchum of Pilot Mountain and Clay Flinchum of Costa Rica; four grandchildren, Zach, Matt and Lauren Jones of Lawrenceville, GA and Danny Russell of Costa Rica. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm Thursday, May 15, 2014 at Hayworth-Miler Kinderton Chapel by Rev. Terry Rausch. Entombment will follow in Westlawn Gardens of Memory.
