Barbara Everhart

Summerfield – Barbara Bradshaw Everhart, 87, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Thursday, September 8, 2022. She was born on April 28, 1935, in Rockingham County to the late Laura Maxie Johnson Price and George William Bradshaw. Our mother, Barbara, was a loving, caring, and giving Christian lady and a member of First Christian Church Ministries. She was a graduate of Glenn High School. Barbara was also a member of Order of the Eastern Star.  She retired from Owens-Illinois Glass as a crew leader. Barbara was loved and will be missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert O. Everhart, Sr., and her son, Robert O. Everhart, Jr.

Those left to cherish her memory are her two daughters, Ann Everhart, and Robin Everhart Varner; one son, Ricky Everhart (Lynn); seven grandchildren, Anthony Varner (Suzy), Adam Varner (Megan), Ashton Everhart Hicks (Hayden), Candice Everhart Hawkins (Jonathan), Robert Hendrix (Taylor), Sarah Hendrix, and Taylor Hendrix; eight great grandchildren, Alexis, Carson, McKenna, Davis, Charlotte, Reese, R.J., and Shawn; one cousin, Jackie Glass (Jean); and her precious dog who was by her side until the end, Cocoa.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, September 14, 2022, at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel with Pastor Dan Hipply officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to FCCM Food Truck – In Memory of Barbara Everhart, 1130 N. Main Street, Kernersville, NC 27284.
