Barbara Joan 'Jo' Ebert

Mrs. Barbara Joan ""Jo"" Ebert, of Winston-Salem, NC. ""Jo"" was born in Kanawaha County, WV to the late Rance E. and Pansy M. Campbell on March 17, 1937 and completed her earthly journey on Friday, September 21, 2012 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. ""Jo"" was preceded in death by her husband, W.H. ""Pete"" Ebert; and a sister, Kathleen ""Kate"" Morris. ""Jo"" is survived by her daughter, Kristie Bolen (Scott) who were her caregivers; her son, John Ebert (Beth) of Hickory; her grandson, Jeremy Sekits, whom she adored and was also a caregiver; four step-grandchildren, John Fox, Mark Fox, Candace Edmondson and Cynthia Lail, all of Hickory; ten great grandchildren; four brothers, Bill R. Campbell of Walkertown, James D. Campbell (Mozelle) of Winston-Salem, Robert L. Campbell (Marcella) of Charleston, WV and Charles N. Campbell (Jean) of Elkview, WV; two sisters, Wanda Campbell of Winston-Salem and Betty Parsons of Charleston, WV; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. ""Jo"" retired from the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County School System Food Service as a cafeteria manager after thirty years of service. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, September 22 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. A funeral service to celebrate ""Jo's"" life will be held Sunday, September 23 at 2:00 p.m. at Union Grove Baptist Church, 2295 Union Grove Rd., Lexington, NC 27295 with the Rev. T. W. Bailey and the Rev. Ken Harris officiating. Entombment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park. The family would like to thank the staff at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home for their loving care provided to Jo, our mother, sister and friend. Our loss is Heaven's gain. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kate B.
