Barbara Jean Boyd

Mrs. Barbara Jean Boyd, 78, of Winston-Salem, passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born in Forsyth County on January 20, 1937 to Ethel Mae Kiger and James Earlie Williams. Mrs. Boyd graduated from Griffith High School in 1955. She enjoyed animals and especially her dogs, Misty and Daisy. Mrs. Boyd loved taking trips to the beach and the mountains, watching tv, and shopping. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard Boyd; sister Brenda Willard; brother Ronald Williams. She is survived by one son, Richard Boyd, II; three daughters, Kathy Boyd, Tracie Boyd, and Susan (Randy) Moss all of Winston-Salem; one sister, Linda Chambers; brother-in-law, Billy Willard; many beloved cousins, nieces, and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 PM on Thursday, May 14, 2015 at Wallburg Baptist Church with Rev. Roy Cantrell officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the pet charity of the donor's choice.
