Barbara Beale Auman

Mrs. Barbara Louise Beale Auman, 82, of Winston-Salem passed away Sunday, February 8, 2015 at her home. She was born May 11, 1932 in Forsyth County to George Arthur and Blanche Hartle Beale. Barbara was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church, where she was the church treasurer, loved music and singing in the church choir and she cherished her many travels with her husband. She retired from Wachovia Bank after 38 years of service and was an avid softball player and enjoyed playing and watching sports. She was a practical person with a simple outlook on life and had a servant's heart. Surviving are her husband, Franklin H. Auman; three daughters, Nancy Auman Brown and husband, Daniel, Deborah Auman Newman and husband, David and Amy Auman Alford; three grandchildren, Uri Brown, Amber Cudd and Aiden Alford; and two sisters, Mary Lee Lyons and Rachel Hill. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday at Cornerstone Baptist Church Pastor Charlie Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Tuesday at Cornerstone Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care, 101 Hospice Lane, W-S, N.C. 27103.
