Mrs. Barbara Ann Ragan Tuttle, 77, of Winston-Salem, NC, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 10, 2024, at her home. Barbara was born on June 11, 1946, to the late Don and Jewell Ragan, in Watauga County, NC.

Barbara joined Greenway Baptist Church in 1956 and became a member of the church choir in 1960. She was a 1964 high-school graduate of Appalachian High School, and also attended Caldwell Technical and Forsyth Technical Community College. Barbara began working in the medical field, starting work in Blowing Rock, and retiring from the Blumenthal Jewish Home in Clemmons, NC. She made Winston-Salem, NC, her home beginning in 1975 alongside her husband.

Barbara had the love for the ocean, lighthouses, and seashells, and made many trips to the different beaches around the coast, including a trip to the Bahamas in 1999…”oh – what a blast!”

In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband who passed in 2005, Major Sloan Tuttle; and her grandparents, Grady Perry and Earle C. Perry, and James Monroe Ragan and Belle Ragan.
