Ayva Brooke Sealey

Ayva Brooke Sealey, 15 days old, died December 28, 2010 at Duke University Medical Center in Durham. She was born December 13, 2010. Surviving are her parents, John J. and Carol Sealey; her grandparents, Robert and Cora Kretzschmar and John and Patricia Sealey; her uncle, Shawn Sealey and wife, Tiana Moore and their children, Shawn Sealey, Jr. and Cameron Sealey; her aunt, Stephanie Fletcher and her daughter, Chloe Fletcher. The funeral service will be conducted Saturday at 10:00 AM at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. John E. Sealey officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Ronald McDonald House, 506 Alexander Ave., Durham, NC 27705. Ayva fought hard for 9 months to get to this world and fought even harder for 15 days to stay in it. She grew tired and the Lord told her she didn't have to fight anymore. He took her in His arms and took her home. Even though we didn't get to meet her very long, she touched so many lives and will live on in heaven and our hearts forever. We love you baby girl.
