Austin Garrett May

Austin Garrett May, 22, of Walkertown passed away on Saturday, October 8, 2016. He was born on March 7, 1994 in Forsyth County to Mike and Angie May. He was a member of Oak Grove Moravian Church. Austin attended UNC Greensboro where he was very active in the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity. In addition to his parents, Austin is survived by two brothers, Jamey and Ethan May of the home; maternal grandparents, Gerald and Bonnie Peddycord of Walkertown; paternal grandparents, Thomas and Jenny May of Winston-Salem; a maternal great grandmother, Marie Marshall; aunts and uncles, Troy May, Gwenda and Dave Hooker, and Gerry and Katie Peddycord; and cousins, Lindsey, Sidney, Jadyn and Cana Hooker, and Sam, James, and Vada Peddycord. A funeral service for Austin will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at Oak Grove Moravian Church with David Berrier officiating. Burial will follow the service in the church graveyard. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
