Ausby Moran

Mr. Ausby Moran, 91, of Kernersville passed away September 29, 2017 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born January 6, 1926 in Stokes County to the late Samuel Jackson Moran and Sudie Taylor Moran. Mr. Moran retired with 30 years of service with the W. G. (Bill) Hefner V.A. Medical Center in Salisbury and proudly worked 25 years with the N.C. National Guard. Mr. Moran was preceded in death by his first wife of 44 years, Margaret Wright Moran and his sister, Patsy Amos. He is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Grace Moran; his sons, Mark A. Moran and Alan Moran (Sandra); two granddaughters, Kelly and Jenna Moran; his step-daughter, Melody Coltrane (Thomas); two step-grandchildren, Jennifer Campbell and Blair Coltrane. A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm, Monday, October 2, 2017 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel with the Rev. Chris Hughes officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00pm until 1:45pm prior to the service. Interment will follow at Randolph Memorial Park in Asheboro. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Brenner Children's Hospital.
