Audrey Joan H. Smith

Mrs. Audrey Joan H. Smith, 78, of Winston-Salem died Monday, September 1, 2014 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born July 26, 1936 in Stocksville, NC, the daughter of the late Otis Holt, Sr. and Agnes Clenenger Holt. Mrs. Smith was a member of Gospel Light Baptist Church and was a graduate of Walkertown High School and City Hospital School of Nursing. She was Past Director of Nursing at Forsyth Memorial Hospital. Survivors include her husband, C. B. Smith; three children, Doug Smith, Debbie Walthall and Terrie Hudson; seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. The funeral service will be conducted Thursday at 11:00 AM at Gospel Light Baptist Church with Dr. Bobby Roberson and Rev. Frank Shumate officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory.
