Audrey Rothrock

Mrs. Audrey W. Rothrock, 83, of Winston-Salem, passed away Monday, February 26, 2018, at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born October 29, 1934, in Forsyth County, the daughter of the late, Barney Edward and Anne Fulp Wilhelm. Mrs. Rothrock grew up at Pine Chapel Moravian Church and later joined Trinity Moravian Church. She was a member of the Moravian Band and played in the Easter Sunrise Service for over 60 years. She was also a member of Salem Trombone Choir. She attended Gray High School and graduated from South Fork High School. While in school, she played soccer, basketball, and softball. She retired from Hanes Hosery and following retirement worked in the cafeteria at West Forsyth High School. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, William E. Wilhelm. Survivors include one son, Bruce E. Rothrock and wife, Sami, of Walkertown; one daughter, Donna K. Rothrock of Winston-Salem; three grandchildren, Heather, Benjamin, and Andrew; seven great grandchildren, four step grandchildren; one sister, Jaunita W. Knight and husband, Ray, of Winston-Salem; one brother, James W. Wilhelm and wife, Linda, of Winston-Salem; and a number of nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, February 28, 2018, at 2:00 PM at Trinity Moravian Church with Rev. John Jackman officiating. Burial will follow in Salem Moravian Graveyard. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:30 AM until 1:45 AM at the church.
