Audrey Walker McElveen

Mrs. Audrey Walker McElveen went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 6, 2013 at Oak Forest Health & Rehabilitation. She was born in Forsyth County on August 25, 1934 to the late Elizabeth Moore Walker and Adam Alexander Walker. She was of the Baptist Faith. Mrs. McElveen was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. In addition to her parents, Mrs. McElveen was preceded in death by two brothers, Reginald ""Butch"" Walker and George Donald Walker. She is survived by three children: Theresa Key Whitworth (Ernest), Tonya Teague (Tony), and Randall McElveen (Toni) all of Winston-Salem; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two sisters: Adna Marshall (John) of Mocksville and Aileen James (Roger) of Kernersville. A funeral service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel with Pastor Danny Hauser officiating. Burial will follow at Crestview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, October 8 at the funeral home. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Oak Forest Health & Rehabilitation for the exceptional and loving care shown to their mother.
