Audrey Lawson Heasley

Mrs. Audrey Lawson Heasley, of Winston Salem, NC, (formally of Wolcott, NY) passed away from complications of Alzheimer's Disease on October 25, 2012, she was 76. Audrey was preceded in death by her husband, Richard C. Heasley from cancer in 1971. She is survived by her children James C. (Nanita) Heasley, Judy A. (Bob) Parker; grandchildren Marina J. Vendrillo, Jonathan C. Heasley; siblings Donald F. (Gloria) Lawson, Robert A. (Linda) Lawson, June E. (John) Dumas, David B. (Barbara) Heasley,as well as numerous loving nieces, nephews, cousins, & friends. Mrs. Heasley was born December 12, 1935 in Cortland, NY, to the late Erdell & Ruth Lawson. She attended SUNY Cortland and Central City Business Institute (CCBI) earning a degree in secretarial science. She retired from North Rose Wolcott CSD as the Guidance Office Secretary in 1995. After retiring she moved to NC to be close to her grandchildren and continued to work as the Bermuda Run Maintenance Department Secretary in Advance for several years. She was a life long volunteer through the church and dedicated to the communities in which she was a member. A memorial service will be conducted at 6:30 PM Monday, October 29, 2012 at Clemmons Presbyterian Church by Dr. William Hoyle and Rev. Jay Banasiak. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, Audrey's family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society and/or the Alzheimer's Association.
