RURAL HALL - Audine Minton Cox, 80, joined the church triumphant on Thursday, September 29, 2022 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston Salem.
Audine was born on December 20, 1941 in Winston Salem to John Franklin and Hazelene Steele Minton. She retired from RJ Reynolds and after retirement, worked as a substitute teacher for WSFCS.
She was a devoted fan of NASCAR racing, UNC Basketball, and country line dancing. Most of all she loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Lois Dull, and Wanda Luffman; brother, Keith Minton; and former husband, Carol D. Cox.
Surviving family includes her three children, Kathryn Conrad (Eddie), Michael (Stacey), and Cris (Wendy); six grandchildren, Todd Jargowsky (Lauren), Jameson Jargowsky, Shawn Jargowsky, Elizabeth Walter (David), Clay Cox, and Mason Cox; three great grandchildren Matthew, Lila and Dylan; sisters Joyce Stewart, and Maxine Boyles; brothers Frank Minton (Beverly) and Steve Minton (Karen).
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 15, 2022, at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel, 305 Bethania-Rural Hall Road, Rural Hall, NC 27045. The family will receive friends following the service.
The family wishes to thank Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home staff for their support and care during her stay. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, 27103 or the charity of your choice.
