Athanasios ""Tommy"" H. Leloudis, age 74, a devoted husband, father and grandfather passed away Sunday, January 13, 2013 surrounded by his loving family. ""Captain Tom"" as he was lovingly known, was born in Karpenisi, Greece on January 18, 1938, son of the late Haralambos and Konstantina Tsaknias Leloudis. At the age of seventeen Tommy immigrated to the United States for a better life. In 1967 he married Dionisia Lagares and God blessed them with four children. Tommy was a hard working individual who always strived to provide the best for his family. Using his talents he established and owned many restaurants and many different businesses that will always be remembered by his customers. He was a long time member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church of Winston-Salem and enthusiastically supported the community and was also a member of the Evrytanian Association of America. Tommy was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Eleftherios Leloudis of Greece; his sister, Maria; and nephew, Nektarios. He is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years, Dionisia; two daughters, Dina Stathopoulos and her husband Nick of Charlotte, Effie Kalevas and her husband, Gregory of Fayetteville; and two sons, Bobby Leloudis and his wife Georgia of Winston-Salem, and George Leloudis also of Winston-Salem; and nine grandchildren, Nicoletta Mageras, Patricia, Billy and Athanasia Kalevas, Dionisia, Ourania, and Anna Maria Leloudis and Yianni and Tommy Stathopoulos; as well as his brother, Dimitrios Leloudis of Greece; sisters, Evangeli Koutsothodoros and Aliki Evangelodemou both of Greece; and many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly. Tommy was a generous and caring man and will be remembered for his good deeds and many jokes. Many lives have changed for the better because of Tommy's caring love and support. He will greatly be missed by his family and friends. May his memory be eternal. The family will receive friends from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 15th at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church with a Trisagion Service at 7:30 p.m. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 16th at the church. Burial will follow in Forsyth Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Annunciation Greek Orthodox Preschool, 435 Keating Dr., Winston-Salem, NC 27104 and Brenner Children's Hospital, P.O. Box 571021, Winston-Salem, NC 27157.
