Arveta Henshaw Dowdy

SUMMERFIELD- Arveta Glynn Henshaw Dowdy, 62 passed away Wednesday, August 20, 2014. She was born October 20, 1951 in Oklahoma to the late Arno Leroy and Lois Bullard Henshaw.


Arveta was proud to be a 6th grade science teacher; she enjoyed a good adventure and traveling abroad and all over the United States where she has acquired many friendships. But most of all she loved spending time with her family and friends.

Surviving are her husband, Kent Dowdy; daughter, Ashley Klimek and husband, Ryan; two step-grandchildren, Andrew and Jackson Klimek; sister, Arneta Kelly and husband, Don; and a brother, Dale Henshaw and wife, Jeanette; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Dale and Karin Dowdy, and Cindy and Gene Daunis.

A Celebration of her life will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 24, 2014 at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel.
