Arthur Munguia, Jr.

Mr. Arthur Armando Munguia, Jr., 85, passed away May 10, 2022.  He was born January 5, 1937, in Kleberg County, Texas to the late Arthur Armando Munguia, Sr. and Lilla Camacho Munguia. Arthur was a man of God, who loved his family, friends, and his country.  He proudly served his country in the Army from 1960-1980, serving 2 tours in Vietnam. He was an active member of the Presbyterian Church, where he taught bible study and served as an elder. Arthur was passionate about all sports and staying physically fit. In addition to his parents, Arthur is preceded in death by his son, Gerald A. Munguia.  He is survived by his wife, Doris Redel Munguia; son, Charles R. Munguia (Christine); daughter, Claudia L. Barrett (John); four grandchildren: Zachary A. Brown, Nathan P. Brown, Jake B Munguia, and Katie M. Anderson; and three siblings: Rudy Munguia (Gloria), Anita Stubblefield, and Richard Munguia (Linda).  The family will receive friends from 4:00 - 5:00 p.m. prior to the service at 5:00 p.m. at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel with Rev. Dr. William Hoyle officiating.  Burial will follow at Salisbury National Cemetery on Friday May 13th at 9:00 a.m.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Gary Sinise Foundation.
