Arthur Alan Davis

Arthur A. Davis, 64, went to be with the Lord June 5, 2012. Art was born and resided in Winston-Salem, NC, and was a retired detention officer with the Forsyth County Sheriff's Dept. Art was a devoted Christian, husband and father. He was a blessing to his family and friends and will be missed by many. We love you Big Guy!! Surviving are his wife, Shelba ""Jeannie"" Davis of the home; his mother, Mary Harris Widener of Dade City, FL. His daughter, Robin Gough (Bubba) of Dade City, FL; two stepsons, Floyd Ray (Glenda) of Walton, KY and Donald Ray (Lela) of Paintsville, KY; five grandchildren, Ashley Bryant (Johnny), Chelsey and Jenna Ray and Jordan and Grant Ray; two great grandchildren, Johnny II and Ally Bryant; two brothers, Larry Davis (Donna) of King, NC and Robert Widener of Cloquet, MN and two sisters, Shirley Medford (Ralph) of Winston-Salem,NC and Cheree Cockrell of Fort Worth, TX. The arrangements are being handled in Florida by Hodges Family Funeral Home, Dade City, FL.
