Arthur Richard Calloway

Arthur Richard Calloway was received into the loving arms of his Lord on September 11, 2015. Richard was born on May 21, 1942 in Midway, N.C. to his beloved parents, Grady and Cleo Calloway. After graduation from North Davidson High School, Richard worked at R.J. Reynolds, Ed Kelly's, and Schlitz Brewery. His job at Schlitz Brewery took him to Syracuse, New York where he lived and worked until his retirement from Anheuser Busch after 26 years. In retirement, he enjoyed the sport of Trap Shooting. Richard excelled in the sport and will be greatly missed by his many shooting friends in New York and North Carolina.

Richard will forever be missed by the love of his life, his wife, Donna W. Calloway and their four legged friend, ""Rudy"". Richard is also survived by his daughters, Amy Holbein (Tim), and Amber Calloway. He is also survived by his sisters, Carolyn Sebastian (Don), Kathy Taylor (Rick), and a brother, Charles Calloway (Andrea), and his nieces and nephews, Sarah Taylor, Lora Jones (Brad), Jennifer Mathay, Richard Sebastian (Elaine), John Sebastian, John Calloway (Sara) and Christine Ladson (Josh).

A celebration of life service will be held at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home, Lewisville Chapel, on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at 2 PM with Dr. J.L. Williams officiating.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Richard's name to Kingdom Entrepreneurs in care of Dr. J.L. Williams, P.O. Box 4066, Glen Raven, N.C. 27215 or Levin-Dixon Hospice House, 1190 Vanstory Dr., Huntersville, N.C. 28078.

The family wishes to express thanks to the staff of Levin-Dixon Hospice House and Dr. John Stuart Salmon for the wonderful care, love, and support provided during Richard's illness.
