Arnold Lee Myers

Mr. Arnold Lee Myers, 92, passed away Friday, February 24, 2012 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. He was born in Wilkes Co. on February 17, 1920 the son of the late Arthur Eugene Myers and Eula Mae Elledge Myers. Mr. Myers was a member of First Baptist Church of Stanleyville and retired with 36 years of service as an inspector for the NCDOT. He proudly served our country during WWII in the United States Army. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia F. Myers, a daughter, Marilyn Myers Williard, three sisters and two brothers. Mr. Myers is survived by a son, Arnold Wayne Myers and wife of Kernersville, three grandchildren, David Myers, Amanda Williard and Michael Williard, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mr. Myers will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 26, 2012 at Hayworth-Miller Chapel in Rural Hall with Rev. Eddie Honeycutt officiating. Burial will follow in Crestview Memorial Park in Rural Hall. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 this evening February 25, 2012 at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
