Arlene Hull Phelps Seymore

Mrs. Arlene Hull Phelps Seymore, 95, of Clemmons, NC passed away on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at Trinity Elms Health and Rehab. She was born to the late George Oscar Hull and Ellie Mae Utt Hull on January 30, 1928 in Carroll County, Virginia. Arlene spent her life as a hairdresser and she ran Arlene’s Beauty Shop out of her home for years. Arlene was a loving mother and grandmother who dedicated herself to her family. In addition to her parents, Arlene was preceded in death by her late husbands, Lawrence Phelps, and Malcolm Seymore; brothers, Ray Hull, Troy “Cotton” Hull, Foy Hull, and George “GW” Hull; and sister, Betty. She is survived by her loving sons, Gary Phelps (Janet), and Michael Phelps (Claire); granddaughters, Kelly Phelps, and Jennifer Phelps Cox (John); great-grandchildren, Hayden Phelps, Gavin Cox, and Charlotte Cox. A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at Advent Moravian Church in Winston-Salem. The family will be receiving friends from 1:00pm to 2:00pm before the service. A committal will be following the service in the church graveyard. Officiating the service will be Rev. Dr. Tim Sapp. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Advent Moravian Church at 1514 W Clemmonsville Rd, Winston-Salem, NC 27127.
