Mr. Arlen Eugene ""Gene"" Faircloth, age 60 of Winston-Salem passed away Saturday evening August 21, 2010 at Kate B Reynolds Hospice and Palliative Care Center in Winston-Salem. Mr. Faircloth was born in Forsyth County, October 24, 1949 to Wesley Eugene and Martha Mozelle Ragsdale Faircloth. He was a member of Willing Vessel Christian Center in Winston-Salem and a United States Army veteran having served with Company A. 554th Engineer Battalion. Gene truly loved spending time with his grandson Daniel and enjoyed the time he spent with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Gene was preceded in death by his father, Wesley Eugene Faircloth and a nephew Jon Michael Faircloth. Surviving are his son; Rev. Arlan E. (Lisa) Faircloth of King. Two grandchildren; Nathan Lilly and Daniel Faircloth. His mother; Martha Faircloth of Winston-Salem. Two sisters; Sherry (Vonce) Wiles of King and Cricket Faircloth of Winston-Salem. One brother; Ray (Doris) Faircloth of Winston-Salem, Two nieces; Dee Faircloth and Carmen Miller. One nephew; Reagan Wiles and a special friend; Sandy Bowman. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home Chapel in Rural Hall by Rev. Arlan Faircloth and Rev. Eddie Tyson. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown with military burial rite conducted by the American Legion Post 290 of King. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening August 24th from 7:00 until 9:00 P.M.
