Ardath Carol Allen Harris

Mrs. Ardath Carol Allen Harris, 76, of Winston-Salem died Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born March 31, 1936 in Davie County, the daughter of the late, Luther Lazell and Norma James Allen. Mrs. Harris was a graduate of South Fork High School and retired from Sara Lee Corporation following 44 years of service. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert James Allen. Survivors include four brothers, Donald Eugene Allen, Jackie Wayne Allen and wife, Julia, William Franklin Allen and Fred Brent Allen and two sisters, Patricia Diane Lashmit and Jeanette Faye Buchin. A graveside service will be conducted Friday at 11:00 AM at Farmington Community Cemetery in Mocksville. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home on Silas Creek Parkway.
