LEXINGTON-Archie ""Bill"" William Tate, III, 53, died March 18, 2009. He was born August 10, 1955 in Forsyth Co. to Toni Lea Tuck Atwood of Florida and the late Archie William Tate, II. Bill loved sports, rock music and dancing. He was an avid Wake Forest, Atlanta Braves and Beatles fan, but a diehard Earnhart fan. Bill enjoyed watching the history channel and the discovery channel. He had just got his driver's license reinstated after 24 years. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by a sister, Jacquelyn Darla Tate; his Maw Maw; Narvieila Lunsford; and an aunt, Lily Chain. In addition to his mother surviving are his wife, Kathy Cobble Tate of the home; a sister, Tina Gonter of Jacksonville, FL; two brothers, Gayland Tate, a very close brother of Rural Hall, and Victor Carreiro of FL; six children, Billy, Jeanette, Isaac, Reeselyn, Travis, and Errina ""Narly"" Tate; one grandchild, Camilla Tate;special nieces and nephews, Kristy, Tosha and Mike, Man, Mariah 8yrs, Michael 7 yrs, Maleiah 5 yrs, and Mitchell 2yrs. A graveside service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, March 22, 2009 at Mt. Gur Cemetery with the Rev. Gary Cobbler officiating.
