April Elizabeth Tilley

April Tilley of Matthews, NC passed away at age 47 on March 31, 2017 after a long and courageous battle with breast cancer.
She was born in Winston-Salem, NC. April graduated from UNC Chapel Hill. She was married to Art Tilley and had two children, Rachel and Spencer.
April was a devoted and beloved wife, mother and friend. She had a passion for travel and photography that she shared with her family in many parts of the world. She had a great sense of humor and was an amazing storyteller. April will be remembered for how she treated those around her as she was the type of person who always put others first. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. April is survived by her husband and children along with her mother Shirley and siblings Jon, Tiffany and Tyler. April will be laid to rest in Winston Salem, NC on Tuesday, April 4, 2017. The visitation will be from 11-12pm followed by a service and burial. The visitation and service will be at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Funeral Home, 3315 Silas Creek Pkwy, Winston-Salem, NC 27103. April will be laid to rest with her family at Forsyth Memorial Park, 3771 Yadkinville Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27106.
