Anthony "Tony" Kirkman

Mr. Anthony (Tony) Wade Kirkman, 67, passed away on Sunday, August 29, 2021 at Kernersville Medical Center. He was born on October 31, 1953 in Forsyth County to Wade Willis and Peggy Ann Atkins Kirkman. Anthony was a Veteran of the United States Navy. He was a very charitable person and was always eager to give his time to help someone. During his life, Anthony was most proud of his legacy and his grandchildren.

Anthony was preceded in death by his parents. Left to cherish his memory are his significate other of 14 years, Karen Torrence; his four sons, Brian Kirkman (wife, Shane), Eric Kirkman (wife, Leslie), Justin Kirkman, and Dylan Kirkman (fiancé, Anna); five grandchildren, Ethan, Bryson, Colin, Maddox, and Silas; two sisters, Wanda Nelson and Cindy Paris; brother, Danny Leggett; three nieces Angie, Andie and Peggy; nephew, Allen and numerous extended family members.

A memorial service for Anthony will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Friday, September 10, 2021 at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com.
