Anthony Wayne Towe

Anthony Wayne Towe, 62, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at Forsyth Medical Center with his mother-in-law, Karen Peoples by his side.

He was a beloved father, husband and friend who will be deeply missed.

Anthony was born on January 6, 1963, in Winston Salem, NC to the late Frank Luther Towe and Betty Skipper Towe.

He was a welder by trade, and erected steel simply for the thrill. Anthony once served as the Chief of Griffith Fire Department during his career.

He was survived by his wife, Angela Towe; children, Stella Towe, Audrey Towe, Toni Towe, Sofia Towe, Gemma Towe, Morgan Towe, and Brittany Towe; and step-children, CJ Hembree, Cheyenne Hembree, Amanda Hooker, and Cody Hooker.

A celebration of life will be held at 8:00pm on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at Hanes Baptist Church.

He loved whole-heartedly and gave to many. Anthony walked many broken paths throughout his life but in the end, he found his way. He walked hand and hand with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ during his journey home.

Anthony will be remembered by his free spirit, craziness and willingness to try anything. He lived his life to the fullest and leaves behind many unforgettable memories and a spirit for adventure.
