Ann Rothrock Weisner

Mrs. Ann Rothrock Weisner, 73, of Lewisville, NC, passed away at Forsyth Medical Center on Wednesday November 24, 2021.  Ann was born in Forsyth County on June 7, 1948, to the late Carl Franklin Rothrock and Violet Arlene Poindexter Rothrock.  Ann was a member of Ketner’s Chapel Church of Christ most of her life where her father served as a preacher.  She was educated in the Forsyth County School System, graduating from West Forsyth High School in 1966.  Ann attended the Forsyth Memorial Hospital School of Nursing and spent over 30 years in the medical field as a certified medical assistant and in recent years Ann became a caregiver.  She cherished a career spent in the medical field and assisting in the care of others.  Ann enjoyed traveling, especially going on cruises with her husband Don, meeting up with “The Gang” every Wednesday for dinner, experiencing new restaurants, playing Pinochle, and ANYTHING Elvis.  She and Don attended Southern Gospel concerts, which she always said made her feel anew.  Ann was an amazing cook, enjoyed making decorative arrangements, her dogs, watching “Price is Right”, “Wheel of Fortune”, “Jeopardy,” “Days of Our Lives”, and the ID Channel.  Bargain shopping was her therapy and one of her favorite pastimes.  In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her first husband, William Edward Hester on February 20, 1996, and her brothers, Michael Eugene Rothrock, Roscoe T. Rothrock, and Rendall K. Rothrock.  Ann is survived by her husband, Don Weisner and her children, Amber Hester and Shea Hester and wife, Kaitlin; her beloved dachshund, CoCo, and numerous close friends.  The family would like to thank Amber’s partner, Nase Lazreg for his help and assistance regarding Ann’s care.  Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, December 4, 2021, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Mr. James Percival and Mr. Steve Johnson officiating.  Interment will follow at Boyer’s Chapel Church of Christ Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Friday, December 3, 2021, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Forsyth Humane Society, 4881 Country Club Rd., Winston-Salem, NC 27104.
