PINNACLE Mrs. Annie Cason Thompson, 84, passed away at her home on Friday, July 13, 2012. She was born in Alamance Co. on October 10, 1927 the daughter of the late Willie Cason and Cordie Bennett Cason. Mrs. Thompson was of the Baptist faith and worked at Veterans Upholstery with her husband for 50 years. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, William Gray Thompson, on May 29th of this year, four brothers and one sister. Mrs. Thompson is survived by two daughters, Olivia Sidden (Elmo) of Pinnacle and Sharon Turner (Alvin) of Germanton, four grandchildren, Connie Caldwell (Neil) of Kernersville, Shannon Turner (Shannon) of Kernersville, Carla Burcham (Rodney) of Pinnacle and Terry Turner of Germanton, seven great-grandchildren, Brittney Caldwell, Mearl Turner, Brycen Burcham, Mason Turner, Addison Burcham, Anabelle Turner and Wesley Waldon. Funeral services will be conducted 2:30 Sunday, July 15, 2012 at Hayworth-Miller Chapel in Rural Hall with Pastor Kevin Broyhill and Rev. Vic Pyles officiating. Burial will follow in Crestview Memorial Park in Rural Hall. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:30 prior to the service at the funeral home. The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to Mountain Valley Hospice for all the love, care and support shown in Mrs. Thompson's time of need and also to Catherine, Shelby, Cathy and our church family for everything they did to comfort and support us during this difficult time.
