Annie Margerite Swaim Spach, 92, formerly of Winston Salem, NC, passed away peacefully Sunday morning, February 7, 2021 at the WhiteStone Care and Wellness Center in Greensboro, NC, where she was a resident since 2015. Annie was born in Winston Salem, NC to the late Lena Redella Pitts Swaim,and Clarence Lester Swaim on June 15, 1928. She was a graduate of the class of 1946 of Sedge Garden High School. On August 5, 1950 she married James Edward Spach, and they shared 65 wonderful years together until his passing in 2015. Annie was a sales associate with Thalhimers Department Stores until her retirement in 1994 and was the recipient of the Top Salesperson of the Year for the City of Winston Salem Award in 1976. She was a devoted and active member of Bethesda Moravian Church. Annie loved animals and was an advocate for the most vulnerable, innocent, and weak. She will be remembered as a strong, beautiful, stylish, sensitive, smart and determined individual always true to her convictions. She is survived by her daughter, Carol Ann Spach Fifield and son in law, Barry Andrew Fifield. Annie will be laid to rest beside her husband at Parklawn Memorial Park, Winston Salem, NC.
