Mrs. Annie Hart Sandler, 89, of Lexington, passed away Saturday, November 08, 2014.

Annie was born February 17, 1925 to the late Silas and Lula Hart in Telfair County, GA. She was a great cook, and worked for many years in food service. She passed that love of cooking onto her family. Annie had a giving heart, and will be fondly remembered as someone who would be with you in your time of need. She was preceded in death by her husband, Max Sandler, and brother, Emory Hart.

Annie is survived by her daughters, Marlene Smith of Winston-Salem, and Nancy Huie and husband Jerry of Canton, GA; grandchildren, Brian Huie and wife Tracey, Tina Strickland and husband Mike, Dana Schatz and husband Russell, Eric Smith, and Allison Rutledge and husband Jason; great-grandchildren, Zachary Huie, Peyton Huie, Ashlyn Huie, Gracyn Huie, Emma Grace Strickland, Margaret Strickland, Davis Strickland, Cory Mabe, Ryan Smith, Matthew Rutledge, Fiona Smith, and Anthony Smith; great-great grandchild, Chase Mabe; and sisters, Minnie Denning and husband JD and Maude McVey.

Funeral services will be held 11:30 AM Tuesday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10:30 - 11:30 AM.
