Annie Westmoreland Nuckles

COLFAX - Mrs. Annie Westmoreland Nuckles, 88, passed away Saturday, September 29, 2012 at Forsyth Medical Center. Annie was born on August 25, 1924 in Guilford County to the late Lindsay Preston and Jeanette Westmoreland . She was a member of Smith Grove Baptist Church in Colfax and loved everyone she met. In addition to her parents, Annie was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Cooleridge Nuckles; four brothers, Hubert, Rubert, Robert and Clinard Westmoreland; three sisters, Maude Hendrix, Hettie McCollum and Opal Jordan; and a grandson, Conrad Nuckles. Surviving are two sons, Clyde Waynard Nuckles (wife, Carol) and Tony Patterson Nuckles (wife, Trudy); two grandchildren, Wendy Barham (husband, Adrian) and Brandon Nuckles (wife, Lindsay); two great grandchildren, Joseph and MacKenzie Barham; two sisters, Neva Long and Ruth Holt; a sister-in-law, Dolly Westmoreland; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at Smith Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Chuck Peters, Rev. Frankie Matthews and Rev. Bruce Freeman officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 PM Monday at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel.
