Annie Holt Moorefield

WESTFIELD Mrs. Annie Holt Moorefield, 88, went to her heavenly home Monday, February 9, 2009 at Universal Health Care in King. She was born in Surry County the daughter of the late Howard and Mary Tilley Holt. Mrs. Moorefield was a lifelong member of Westfield Friends Meeting and retired from Perry Manufacturing in Mt. Airy with over 30 years of service. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be missed greatly by all who knew her. Mrs. Moorefield is survived by a daughter, Mary Nunn and husband Fairley of Pilot Mtn., three sons, Charles Moorefield and wife Betty of Rural Hall, Delmer Ray ""Dink"" Moorefield and wife Jean of King and Junior Moorefield and wife Vicky of Monroe, GA., five grandchildren, Lee Moorefield and wife Allison of Raleigh, Chris Moorefield and wife Dawn of Westfield, Brad Moorefield of Monroe GA., Angie Tate and husband Chad of Mt. Airy and Melissa Walden and husband Danny of Snow Camp, Six great-grandchildren, a sister, Lenice Johnson of Westfield and a step-brother, Graham Tilley of Mt. Airy. A graveside service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 11, 2009 at Westfield Friends Meeting Cemetery in Pilot Mtn. with Pastor James Parker officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 - 1:30 prior to the service at Westfield Friends Meeting. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to; Westfield Friends Meeting, c/o Eula Mae Vaughn, 10497 NC 89 West, Westfield, NC 27053 or Hospice of Stokes, P.O. Box 10, Danbury, NC 27016. The family would like to extended a very heartfelt thank you to Hospice of Stokes County and all the staff at Universal Health care that was given to Annie in her time of need.
