Annie Louise Ford Holyfield, a beautiful wife, mother and grandmother went home to join her husband of 70 years on May 19, 2012 at Forsyth Hospital Palliative Care. Her loving nurture and kindness will be greatly missed. Her life was devoted to her husband and her children and being a quiet strength in his ministry. She was born to Thomas Franklin and Millie Lee Parker Ford on April 15, 1923. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Jesse Floyd Holyfield on January 9, 2012, three sons, Jesse Floyd Jr., David Michael and Paul Matthew, her parents and fifteen brothers and sisters. She is survived by four children, Sarah Shelton (Frank) of Kernersville, Jimmie Holyfield (Joan) of East Bend, Mark Holyfield of Pinnacle and Becky Thompkins of Winston Salem; fourteen grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; and one sister Joyce Eddins of Warner Robbins, GA. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at Hayworth-Miler Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Steve Wood officiating. Interment will follow in Gardens of Memory in Walkertown. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. The family would like to thank Dr. Aubrey Evans and the staff of Palliative Care at Forsyth Hospital for their care.
