Annie Warner Flowers

Mrs. Annie Warner Flowers, 82, of Winston-Salem, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 8, 2015, at The Oaks. Annie was born in Forsyth County to Edward Gray and Ida Cody Warner. She was the owner and operator of Flowers Grocery on West Clemmonsville Road. In addition to her parents, Annie was preceded in death by her loving husband, William Francis ""Super"" Flowers; one daughter, Bonnie Kay Flowers. She is survived by two sons, William ""Winky"" F. Flowers and wife Karen and Gene Gray Flowers and wife Jackie, all of Winston-Salem; four grandchildren Alexandria and husband Rob, Leann, Kirstie, and Brennan; one great granddaughter, Lauren; one sister, Charlotte Blackburn; and two brothers Robert Warner and Eddie Warner. A funeral service for Annie will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Dan K. Nelson and Rev. James C. Newsome, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Friedberg Moravian Church, 2178 Friedberg Church Rd., Winston-Salem, NC 27127.
