WINSTON-SALEM - Annie Mae Bolt Chambers, 95, passed away Monday, October 31, 2011 at her home. Ann was born April 14, 1916 in Carroll County, VA to the late Dixie Lee and Haver McGrady Bolt. She was a member of Friedland Moravian Church and the Laura Reed Sunday School Class. Ann worked for Hanes Hosiery for 24 years and was also employed by Sedge Garden Elementary School and Pic & Pay Shoes. In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Columbus Effeth Chambers; daughter-in-law, Norma Sue Chambers; brother, Carlas Bolt; and half brother, Billy Raymond Bolt. Surviving are two sons, Roger Eugene Chambers, and Michael Keith Chambers (wife, Glenda), five grandchildren Ruth Ann Jacobs (husband, Ed) Gena Sue Chambers, Chappie Eugene Chambers, Amy Chambers Zwiebel (husband, Rob) and Tyler Michael Chambers three great grandchildren, Nicholas and Joshua Jacobs, and Macy Zwiebel; step grandchildren Brandon Ray Berrier (wife, Megan) Samuel Jordan Berrier, a niece, Louise Sells and nephew, Ralph Bolt (wife, Peggy), and former daughter in-law Sandra Chambers. A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. G. Thomas Shelton and Mr. Scott Brent officiating. Burial will follow at Woodland Cemetery.
