On Friday, June 25, 2010, Mrs. Annie Louise Lloyd Andrews was promoted to Glory. She was born April 5, 1917 in Darlington, SC, as one of eight children of Jesse Asbury and Annie Marie Adams Lloyd. Although she lived most of her later years with her daughter, Shirley, in Winston-Salem,NC, home was always in the Philadelphia community of Darlington County, SC. The center of her life was the Philadelphia Southern Methodist Church where her faith in Christ was always translated into Christian service and a life characterized by love for others. She was a Sunday School Teacher for twenty five years and was a retired from Nytronics, Inc. She will be long remembered for her gregarious personality and an unending williness to pitch in whenever and wherever needed. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Francis Andrews, two sisters, Helen Brock and Edell Parquette and two brothers, Joe Lloyd and Henry Lloyd. . Survivors include three children, William Dewey (Rose) Andrews and Shirley Marie (Mark) Lee both of Winston-Salem, NC and Lois Jeanette (Leo) Swartwood of Greenville, SC.; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one sister, Agnes Smith of Darlington, SC and two brothers, Harold Lloyd of Darlington, SC and Carlyle Lloyd of Myrtle Beach, SC. The family will receive friends Saturday from 6:00 until 7:00 PM at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home on Silas Creek Parkway, Winston-Salem. The funeral service will be conducted Sunday at 2:00 PM at Philadelphia Southern Methodist Church in Darlington, SC with family visitation one hour prior to the service.
