Anne Taylor passed into the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on August 2, 2021 after a long and courageous battle with cancer and diabetes. She was a life-long resident of Forsyth County and graduated from Griffith High School in 1956. Anne was preceded in death by her parents, Demintz and Mary Looper, sisters Faye Cox, Evelyn Frye and brother JD Looper. Anne led a life of service to her family, employers and church demonstrating the gift of hospitality. She spent over 50 years in the secretarial field at Western Electric/AT&T and finished up her career at Triad Guaranty at age 70. She was always eager to participate in covered dish dinners and meals for the sick in the church with her famous pork roast, tater salad and green beans. She was a member of several churches over her lifetime including Cornerstone Baptist Church and First Pentecostal Holiness Church. Anne encountered her share of sorrow over a lifetime and chose to encourage family, friends and co-workers with scripture and devotions. She loved to hear the Bible preached in word and song even to the end of her life. As a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she was at every ballgame, recital, play or concert that her family participated in. She loved writing Letters to the Editor supporting the conservative viewpoint. Her children marveled at her resilient and tenacious spirit in the face of overwhelming obstacles especially in facing health challenges and blindness.
She is survived by her sons Tony and wife Donna of Matthews, NC, Kim and wife Elizabeth of East Bend, NC, Jason and wife Kristen of Charlotte, NC and daughter Shari of Clemmons, NC.
She is also survived by her grandson Zach Taylor and wife Paige of Charlotte, NC and granddaughter Kelli Hedrick and husband Nathan of Farmington, NC, her great granddaughter Aubrey Hedrick, and great grandson Brooks Taylor.
Special thanks to the staff of Clemmons Village II and Trellis Supportive Care for their care of Anne in her last days.
