Anne Furrow

Mrs. Anne Marie Mullins Furrow, 63, of Winston-Salem passed away on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born on June 1, 1955 in Roanoke, VA to Joseph and Mary Hannah McKemy Mullins. Mrs. Furrow was a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother, faithful daughter, and friend of all. Like Jesus, she loved all children and faithfully shared His love at every opportunity. She received a bachelor’s degree at Piedmont Bible College and a Master of Education from Regent University. Mrs. Furrow was an elementary educator for over 30 years in West Virginia, Virginia, and North Carolina. She became an elementary principal and a learning disabilities therapist at Salem Baptist Christian Schools but was first and foremost a teacher. Mrs. Furrow was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Hannah Mullins. Surviving to cherish her memory are her husband of 37 years, Pastor Hayden “Skip” Furrow; two sons, Joel Furrow and wife Hilary, Matthew Furrow and wife Cassidy; five grandchildren, Annaleigh, Jane, Charlotte Furrow, Chloe Davis, Teddy Furrow; and her father, Joseph Mullins. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, November 5, 2018 at Salem Baptist Church in Winston-Salem, NC with Pastor Bob Alderman, Pastor Skip Furrow, and Pastor Kivett Hicks officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until 1:45 PM on Monday at the church. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday November 6, 2018 at Sherwood Memorial Park in Salem, VA. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to the Missions Fund at North Point Baptist Church, 4980 University Parkway, Winston-Salem, NC 27106.
