Mrs. Anna ""Doris"" Pope Cline peacefully passed from here to Heaven to be with her loving Savior and her soul-mate Tuesday, April, 10, 2012. She was born March 4, 1924 in Marlboro County, SC to Joseph Benjamin and Della Edens Pope. Mrs. Cline was a devoted wife and loving mother. She displayed her servant's heart by taking special care of the needs of others. She was well known for cooking beautiful holiday meals for large family gatherings. Mrs. Cline was a member of South Fork Baptist Church. She retired from Hanes Knitwear Corp. Mrs. Cline was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 45 years, Elmer Lee Cline; brothers: Doug Pope, Clarence ""Buster"" Pope, Joseph ""J.B."" Pope, Jr., as well as three infant brothers; sisters: Mary Louise Pope, Maryan ""Mae"" Parrish, Alma Parrish, Emma Dagenhart, Bessie ""Ted"" Davis, and Eloise Minton. Surviving to cherish her memory are her daughter, Sharon Ann Cline of the home; sister-in-law, Louise Shore; as well as numerous dearly loved nieces and nephews, including special nephews: Nick ""Butch"" Miller (Brenda) of Walnut Cove, and Joseph ""Joey"" Minton (Renee) of Winston-Salem. A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 14, 2012 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Pastor Jon White and Pastor Rick Craig officiating. Burial will follow at Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00-8:00 PM, Friday, April 13. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kate B. Reynolds Hospice and Palliative Care, 101 Hospice Ln., Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
