Ann Marie Marsh Yow

Mrs. Ann Marie Marsh Yow, 62, of Winston-Salem, passed away on Friday, July 15, 2016, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Mrs. Yow was born in Forsyth County on January 2, 1954, to the late Lincoln Marsh and Dorothy Black Marsh. Ann graduated from Parkland High School in 1972 and was valedictorian of her class. Following high school, she attended Wake Forest School of Medicine and graduated in 1976. Ann married Larry Yow on July 8, 1978. She was employed with Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center for 40 years and also assisted her husband, Larry with his photography business. She loved working in her garden and spending time with her cats. Mrs. Yow is survived by her husband, Larry Yow of Winston-Salem; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Lawrence and Joan Yow; and six beloved cats, Sambo, D. Lucky, Zhen Zhen, Sassy, Ling Ling, and Izzy. Funeral services will be held at 5:00 pm on Wednesday, July 20, 2016, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Pastor Michael Gates officiating. A private burial will take place Thursday. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Forsyth Humane Society, 61 Miller St., Winston-Salem, NC 27104.
