KERNERSVILLE Ann Lucile Peters 3-14-1915 to 9-16-2009 ""Time to roam this earth I've been given. Now I can soar with the birds in heaven."" Lucile was the beloved daughter of Hardie Columbus Gragg and Mary Anne Story Gragg. She was married to the late Walter Jay Peters and mother to the late Roberta Ann Kutlik. A retired teacher from Baltimore Co. schools in Maryland, Ann Lucile retired to Banner Elk and was a member of Arbordale Presbyterian Church. She was a world traveler and recently lived in Darley, England. Ann was a dedicated Girl Scout Leader, President of the Ornithological Society in Maryland and President of the Audubon Society in Boone. As a resident of Kerner Ridge in Kernersville, she continued her love of teaching children and others about the ""birds"" at the age of 94. She is survived by her niece Doris Bennett of Kernersville; a son-in-law, Ed Kutlik of Maryland; brothers and sisters, Maurice Gragg, Doyle Gragg, Connie Poovey, Jack Gragg, Jerry Gragg all of Morganton, and Elaine Henderson of South Carolina, and Louise Hendrix of Tennessee; special nephews, David Gragg of Texas, Terry Gragg of Oklahoma, Jimmy Gragg of Georgia, Ron Gragg of Charlotte, and Richard Gragg of Rocky Mount; and her beloved sister-in-law, Martha Gragg of Mooresville.
