Ann Thompson Everidge, 66, of Winston-Salem, went to her eternal home after a lengthy illness on Saturday, April 20, 2013. Ann was born in Moore County on May 7, 1946. She attended Trinity High School, and retired from RJ Reynolds Tobacco Company as a Machine Operator. Ann was a born again Christian and was an active member of Union Grove Baptist Church in Arcadia. In her spare time she enjoyed collecting antiques and spending time with family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jackie Kenneth Everidge, Sr.; mother, Edith Hethcox; father, David Franklin Thompson; step-father, Edward Hethcox; brother, Russell Thompson and daughter-in-law, Bridget Alcon. She is survived by her three children, Amy Lane and husband Billy of Greensboro; Andy Alcon of Concord; and Dr. D. Corbett Everidge and wife Liz of Summerfield. Ann is also survived by two step-children, Jackie Kenneth Everidge, Jr. and Debra Everidge; seven grandchildren, Casey and Katie Lane; Russell, Cole, Carly, and McKensie Alcon; beloved cousins Carol Lockamy of Holden Beach and Joan Andrews of Trinity, and lifelong friend Lucy Welch of Farmington. The family will receive friends at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel on Tuesday evening April 23, from 6-8 pm. Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday April 23, 2012 at Union Grove Baptist Church in Arcadia with Pastor Ken Harris and Pastor T.W. Bailey officiating, followed by a graveside service at Parklawn Memorial Park. The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Rudolfo Pascual of Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center for his compassionate care of Ann throughout her illness.
