Anita Brown Fox

Mrs. Anita Fox, 71, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on January 22, 2009 at Forsyth Medical Center with family and close friends at her bedside after a short illness. She was born to Dewey and Helen Brown on June 25, 1937 in Old Fort, NC. She was a faithful and long time member of Union Grove Baptist Church where she loved to sing in the choir and had a way of befriending many. She was known for her delicious cakes. You could find her working in her many flowers or reading a Christian fiction. She enjoyed taking bus trips with her many friends. But was just as happy having a tea party, coloring a picture or baking with her granddaughters she loved to keep. All who knew her will miss her. Mrs. Fox was preceded in death by her parents, former husband Bobby Revis, son Keith Revis and granddaughter, Heather Revis. She is survived by her husband of 35 years, David E. Fox; two daughters, Debbie Beck and husband Tim, Lynette Frye and husband Derek; a step son, Rick Fox and wife Joy; grandchildren, Bobby and Michael Beck, Chelsea and Victoria Frye, Justin and Kara Fox; three brothers, Cecil, Harold and Dan Brown; two sisters, Stella Anderson and Lucille Parker and many nieces and nephews. Also are very close friends of 42 years, Harold and Barbara Fletcher. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, January 25, 2008 at Union Grove Baptist Church in Lexington with Dr. Harold Fletcher, Pastor Ken Harris and Pastor T.W. Bailey officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Saturday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. We would like to thank the staff at Forsyth Medical Center and a very special thanks to the ICU 2 staff for your loving care to a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend who leaves behind beautiful memories.
